Couple things I realized while I was on vacation!

  • Scott is by far the best travel partner ever!! I love it!  When strangers try to make conversation with us, he's right there talking with him.
  • Don't let Scott try to skimp on the hotels...If he books a hotel, you make sure they have AC!! :) Love you, honey! :)  We don't need a pool, we just need it to be bug free and have AC and semi comfy beds!
  • Scott's willing to tell people to move (nicely) when they are in his way of taking a picture of something.  I'm not very nice about it or I just wait and don't say anything :)
  • Each trip we take together I fall more and more in love with Scott!  It's amazing!! :)
  • Traveling to new places and seeing and doing new things with Scott is so fun!!  Even doing the things we have done before is so fun with him!  He makes things fun!  And encourages me to do things that I don't feel like doing (like take a 10 minute hike uphills in the rugged woods!)
  • Scott and I take WAY too many pictures!  This trip so far we have taken 1,051 pictures...We still have tomorrow and we have plans to do stuff! :)  We took 3,000 pictures on our trip to Virginia!!
  • If I'm not feeling like taking pictures, Scott is right on top of it!  We are OBSESSED!! :)
  • Speaking of pictures...I have realized I have gained a TON (no pun intended :)) of weight.  I know I gained 20-30 pounds after I quit smoking, but that was TWO years ago...This weight has got to go!  Diet and exercise here I come!  Scott is going to join me!!
This trip has been so relaxing, yes my body hurts from walking, climbing hills in the wood, I have a super bad headache right now, but you know what...It's so worth it!!

Alright, time to look through pictures and find the ones I will post tomorrow...

Come back in the morning for 30th b-day post!! :)

I love vacations!!

Vacation re-cap #1 (Since I'm still on vacation)

We left town on Thursday to drive up north...We were heading to Munising!  I LOVE Munising.  They have tons of waterfalls there and it's just a cute little town.

We had to cross the Mackinaw bridge. I love this bridge!  Scott is not a big fan of it so I got to drive over it!  We stopped at this little gift shop that you can climb to the top of the roof and view the bridge from there!  We have done this many of times, but I love it each time we do it!  From there we headed to the Garlyn Zoo...This is not a very big zoo, but for the size it has a lot of animals!  I love it!  I fed some Sika deer and some pygmy goats!  And saw the cutest baby potbellied pigs.  I tried talking Scott into letting me get one when he got home, but I know that's not going to happen...After the zoo we headed to Oswald's bear ranch.  There were a ton of bears there and Scott and I got our picture taken with a cub!  She was so cute and ate Fruit Loops out of our hands :)  It tried biting Scott's boob :)  We finally headed to our motel...Which SUCKED!  Scott is never allowed to pick the motels again! It was 80 something degrees out and this motel room had NO A/C!! Yeah, it's 2011 and this motel had no fricken A/C!!  The however had a fan and you bet your ass that it was on HIGH!! We headed to dinner then back to the motel where we sat on the beds and didn't move because it was so fricken hot :)

Friday we slept in a little bit and got up, headed to breakfast then off to check out the waterfalls (we have done this whole trip many times, but keep coming back because it's one of our favorite places to be)  We wanted to go to a waterfall we had never been to before, so we followed the directions...Drive down (I don't remember what the name of the road was) and on the side of the road there is a staircase. Follow that up...Yeah, a staircase on the side of the road...Random :)  So we headed up the staircase and it stopped and turned into a path.  I stopped and Scott continued to head out and go to the waterfall.  Well, I finally decided I would make the hike to see this waterfall, because you know how fricken scary it is to be in the woods in the middle of nowhere is a different town? yeah scary as shit!  But I'm so glad that I made my big ass walk to this waterfall it was so pretty!! After we hit the other waterfalls it was time to drive for awhile to get to the other town we were staying at!  Made it to this motel, checked in and headed to get some food.  We decided to head to this hidden burger place that is so good.  We found out about it last time we came here and the boat tour we took's guide told us about it and you can see it from the boat.  Relaxed for the rest of the night.

Saturday (today!) I slept in until 11!!!  Got up headed for some lunch, headed downtown to the Tower of History which is this really tall cement building (210 feet high) that has views of a lot of the town and you can see the Soo locks, Canada, and the international bridge from the observation decks!  Being that close to Canada and seeing the international bridge makes me so excited to head to Canada in October!  I cannot wait!  Tonight we are heading to the Soo Locks Dinner cruise.  A 2 1/2 hour boat ride, heading into the locks and taking in all the views!  We even head into Canadian waters!!
We did this very same thing (boat cruise) and stayed in the very same motel (not same room) on our first wedding anniversary!  We usually come up here for each anniversary, and do the boat cruise, but stay in a hotel downtown.  But I think it's time to make it an every year tradition to stay in the same hotel, same room (if possible) and do the boat cruise EVERY year!!

Well, I'm done rambling for now...I'll be back tomorrow night will a dinner cruise post, so pictures and the last part of our trip...We are heading to The Cross in the Woods on our way home.  We have been there before and it's so pretty!

And tomorrow, I'll have a post first thing in the morning because someone is turning THIRTY!!!

Arctic Zero Review!!

I'm a big fan of ice cream, but I'm slightly lactose intolerant...I get super bad stomach aches after I eat it!  So I was pretty excited when I got to review Arctic Zero!

150 Calorie Pints

I was sent these flavors...
Chocolate
Chocolate Peanut Butter
Coffee
Cookies and Cream
Mint Chocolate Chip
Vanilla Maple
Strawberry
Pumpkin Spice

There were only three of them that I didn't like. Pumpkin Spice, Coffee, and Vanilla Maple.  I don't like coffee anything, but I tried this and yuck!  If you like coffee and love coffee flavored things, then you are going to love it!  The Pumpkin Spice wasn't too bad, but it's something I couldn't take more than one bite of.  It had a ton of flavor to it.  I didn't like the Vanilla Maple one either, because I don't not like Maple...But it did have a good mix of Vanilla and Maple.

My absolute favorite was Mint Chocolate Chip!  It was perfect.  Perfect flavor, not too chocolatey, not to minty, perfect!

The runner up was Cookies and Cream...Cookies smashed into ice cream!! I'm there!  Love it!!

If you sit down and eat the whole pint of this...It's OK...It's only 150 Calories per pint!! YAY!! So no more feeling bad about eating a whole pint.  The best part of the ice cream is that it's Lactose Intolerant friendly!!  Not only is it low in calories, but it's not going to cause me to have a bad stomach ache!!  I'm sold!!

So, if you haven't tried this ice cream, I think you should head over to their website and pick some up!!

You can find Arctic Zero many places on the web!

They have a store locator's, so you can find out if they sell it by you... Click HERE

THANKS ARCTIC ZERO

I will share my reviews on two of my favorites from this basket!  This post would get super long if I reviewed everything.  (I did try everything in this basket)

My first favorite this was the Petite Cheese Biscuits.  These were so good! They were just cheesy enough an had a tiny bit of spice in them! YUMM!!

My second favorite thing was the Metropolitan Trail Mix.  This mix had so many different flavors in it!  I did not like the raisins, but I don't like them at all anyways.  I loved the pineapple and the banana in it!!

My least favorite thing was the Coconut Bar, but that's probably because I'm not a fan of Coconut anyway.  But it was full of flavor and if you are a Coconut fan, I'm sure you will love it!!

I love the basket that it comes in!  Perfect size to put things in!  I use it as a fruit holder!!

SANS Diet Soda Review

I received Cola, Lemon Lime, Black Cherry, and Root Beer

Scott did the reviewing for me, since I'm not that big of a fan of diet soda.

I was sent many cans and he was able to try each of them warm and cold.  He prefered them better cold.  He normally likes Black Cherry soda (pop :)) but he didn't enjoy this one.  He said it kind of tasted like cough medicine...
The Root Beer was his favorite.  He also liked the Lemon Lime and Cola as well.  He's been drinking diet soda for awhile now and he's now a fan of this soda.

I did take a drink of the cola, and it was actually not bad.  I of course prefer regular soda (pop :)) but I think I could of gotten use to this.

Here is a little info about SANS Soda:
What makes SANS unique compared to other stevia sodas on the market?
SANS utilizes proprietary flavor technology and adjusted levels of carbonation to deliver a superior drinking experience and consumer preferred taste without the bitter off-notes traditionally associated with stevia sweetened beverages.

Does SANS contain artificial sweeteners?
No, SANS does not use any artificial sweeteners such as saccharin, aspartame, or sucralose.

What is SANS sweetened with?
SANS contains the all-natural sweetener rebiana which is the zero-calorie extract from the stevia plant. SANS uses Cargill’sTruvia ® rebiana which guarantees its purity level of stevia at 99%. Truvia™ rebiana is different than most stevia sold today because it consists only of the best-tasting components of the stevia leaf.

Is SANS all natural and what does that mean?
SANS is an all natural soda which means it contains 100% natural ingredients. All colors, flavors, acids (citric acid and tartaric acid), and caffeine (in the cola) are all natural.

So, if you are looking for a all natural diet soda (pop) then head on over to SANS Soda!!

You can find SANS Soda in a bunch of places on the web:

THANK YOU SANS SODA!!

Nick Chavez Review

I saw a review for Nick Chavez products on another persons blog and the blogger was really impressed with the products, so since I'm always looking for good Shampoo and Conditioner, I emailed them to see if they would be interested in a product review.

I was sent the Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner and the Hydrating Hairspray.

Shampoo:
Our Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Nourishing Hair Shampoo moisturizes and hydrates hair as it cleans and purifies.
Safe for all hair types, but particularly effective for dry, damaged, and color or chemically treated hair.
A calming blend of botanical extracts, such as Aloe, Chamomile, Henna and Jojoba, soothe the scalp and nourish the hair shaft.
pH balanced. Will not strip hair color.

Conditioner:
Our Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Nourishing Hair Conditioner restores moisture and adds strength to hair.
Locks in nutrients and proteins vital for healthy hair with no build-up.

Hairspray:
Nick Chavez’ Thirst Quencher™ Hydrating Hairspray with Argan Oil is a medium holding hairspray that hydrates and moisturizes. Formulated with Argan Oil which infuses moisture throughout the hair while offering a flexible hold without stickiness or build-up. Leaves hair feeling weightless and manageable with shine. Great for use with thermal appliances, including curling irons and flat irons.
Directions for use: To add extra volume, flip hair over, open hair with fingers and spray 10-12 inches away, flip hair back, style and spray.

My Thoughts:
Since I had already saw a positive review about some of their products, I was super excited to try the products they sent me!  I continue to use the Shampoo and Conditioner and still love it as much as I did the first time I used it.

The Shampoo worked so well for my hair.  I have hard water, so my hair is pretty dry.  The Shampoo leaves it smooth and silky and so easy to work with!

The Conditioner also is great on my hair.  With having hard water I already have enough build up in my hair, so having a conditioner that is not going to add to that is great.  Using the Conditioner after the Shampoo, that already makes my hair silky and smooth, just makes it that much better.  I barely have to brush my hair because using these together make my hair less tangled.

The Hairspray is awesome.  I didn't use hairspray often before receiving this, but now I use this often.  It doesn't feel like anything has been sprayed in my hair, my hair still feels light with it in my hair.  Unlike a lot of other hairsprays, you can actually still move the hair, but then it goes back to looking like it did when you styled it!  You can add volume to your hair with using this hairspray and it's not sticky at all!  I don't know about you all, but I cannot stand my hair feeling sticky because of hair products!

I was very impressed with these products and Scott even tried the Shampoo and Conditioner and liked it!

Even though these are a little expensive, they are all totally worth it and they last a long time.  I have had all of these products for some time now and still have quite a bit left!

So, what are you waiting for?  Head on over and check out their products and pick some up!!

THANK YOU NICK CHAVEZ!!

Certain Dri Review and Giveaway!!-CLOSED-

I recently was able to review Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant.

If you have never heard of this then you are missing out!

About Certain Dri:
Created specifically to complete the line of Certain Dri antiperspirant products for those who want the same 72-hour protection from excessive underarm perspiration in a solid application.

The product is specially-formulated to provide everyday, all-day dryness for those who suffer from excessive underarm perspiration.

Certain Dri® Solid Anti-Perspirant contains 25% aluminum sesquichlorohydrate (Anhydrous). It is the only over-the-counter antiperspirant with this ingredient, which is more effective than the aluminum zirconium formula found in over-the-counter solid antiperspirants that are labeled “clinical strength.”

My Thoughts:
I was a unsure about this Anti-Perspirant.  I really didn't think it would work as well as it did.  Since I do sweat a lot, I figured why not try this.  I tried it for a week and was very impressed with how dry it kept my underarms.  Now, I'm not sure if it lasts 72 hours, but I wouldn't have any doubt that it wouldn't last 72 hours.  I put it on every morning and it lasted until the next morning.  Even after showering in the morning before work, I could still smell it and felt like it was still on.  It wasn't sticky like some other anti-perspirants.  This went on smooth and worked through the day.  Since I work in a place that doesn't have central air I need a good anti-perspirant and this worked great through 90 degree temps that felt like over 100 degrees.  There is only one thing that I didn't really like about this product.  The smell, was like a baby powder, but a little stronger.  It wasn't too bad and I still used it for a whole week and will still use it until it's gone, I just wish it would come in other scents as well.

If you haven't tried Certain Dri, then you really need to get out there and pick some up.  If your underarms sweat a lot, then you need this!
