Weekend wrap-up (warning...VERY LONG post ahead!!!)

Hello there...We meet again :)  This is a weekend wrap-up with LOTS of rambling, so if you don't want to read, you can just look at pics!!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  I sure did and the weekend hasn't stopped for me...Ok it has because I took today off cause I'm just not feeling very well today...So before I get my butt back to bed to feel better I thought I would post about our weekend...We didn't take many pictures (which is very odd for us)...

So here we go:

Friday: I got out of work at noon, came home to finish up packing making sure we didn't forget anything (because we can't leave the house without packing it ALL).  Was going to take a nap, because I went to bed late the night before but as soon as I thought that the damn painter guy showed up and made a lot of noise!  So no nap for me...Headed out at 3:30 to take Oscar to his sitters...Headed back over to work because they were having their yearly Luau :)  It's so cute to watch them all have such a good time!  I love it!!  Headed over to Scott's work about 5:40, waited for him to get out...Went and parked the truck at his moms house and then FINALLY headed to Lansing at about 6:30!!!  We got to the hotel and both were sooo tired..We ordered a pizza and just hung out until we fell asleep!!

Saturday: Slept in a little bit, lounged around, got ready, and deabated whether or not we were going to go to iHop...We ended up going to Bob Evans because we realized we forgot to get Kris and Nikki a gift (OOPS!!!) and going to iHop we wouldn't of had enough time to go to iHop then the store...So we get them a card and cash (the best gift EVER)...And finally headed out to the reception...It was in Charlotte, MI...I was very cute...They were wearing the suit and wedding dress from when they got married a month ago, so it was like they just got married today and it was reception time...We had a pretty good time...We didn't know many people there, so we sat at our own little table goofing off :)

The sign and the VERY yummy cake (I had TWO cupcakes, which we just yellow cake and VERY yummy whipped frosting!!) The cake had three different layers, the first one was I think Orange-Pineapple (I didn't try that) the second was Raspberry (that was very yummy) and the last one was yellow or white...

Table decor...The picture was taken of the table next to us...Because of course my husband and I are about 5 and we play with water and fire :) haha...

And they had necco wafers all over the place...Even on the cake, the brown circle things are necco's

Feeding each other cake...Oh how sweet :)

And the VERY yummy cupcake!!

After the reception Scott and I headed to INDIANA!!!  For what you ask....

We even got to see the "Butt Hut" haha :)

Get your minds out of the gutter, it was a cigarette store...

Yup, we drove an extra hour and half to get fireworks!!! :)

I'm hoping they legalize some of the good ones here in MI soo...

We made it back safely!!! :)

After this, we headed back to the hotel to change because I couldn't wear dress pants any longer, I had to throw on my jeans!!!  We then headed back to Kris and Nikki's and hung out for awhile...I love their dogs...They have TWO weinmehiemers (This is spelt very wrong, but I don't want to look it up) that I just adore and a cat that Scott loves and tries to steal every time we go there :)

There's no pics from there...I was being lazy again...

We left a couple hours later to head back to do some swimming at the hotel, but never did go swimming...

WAY too many people in the pool...So we lounged around again!

Sunday:

I woke up to a text message on Scott's phone from his friend Kris saying it's raining and is supposed to continue this afternoon...We were supposed to go to the zoo that afternoon!!! BOO!!!

I hate rain sometimes!!!

So we headed to breakfast then headed home :(

It was a relaxing trip away...Not too busy and not too boring!!

And now I don't feel very well... :(

I know this post is already SUPER long...

But my wonderful swap partner got her gift on Friday, so now I can post pics!!!

I had Summer B from B is for...

I made her home-made mustache cards, home-made recipe cards and got her some cute necklaces and some nail polish!!!  I had so much fun shopping for her and making things for her!!!

Summer from Summer's Story wasn't able to join in, in my swap due to trying personal reasons, but since she is pretty much my bloggy BFF, I wanted her to be a part of it so I sent her some things too...

Of course I couldn't leave out little Kelcee Alba!!! :) So she got a fabric wallet I won in a giveaway (yes, I'm a re-gifter...I just thought she would love it!) and a monster sticker sheet :) You get to build your own monster!! :)

Ok, I have A LOT to say this morning...Two more quick things...

I hardly ever get surprises...But yesterday we got home and checked the mailbox and sweet Summer from Summer's Story sent me this...

LOVE it!!!  It's a necklace that says believe on it and a sweet card!!!

I have to go shopping either tonight or tomorrow to get a longer chain...Becaus I REALLY want to wear it, but I have a fat neck :) and it doesn't go down far enough

I LOVE surprises and don't get them often, so this made my day!!

And last but not least...

I got my Mommypad giveaway in the mail too!!  I won it over at Mommywood...I LOVE it!!
