(I'm not doing this post on Thanksgiving anymore it is now the Friday after)
...my husband, Oscar, having a job, some family members (yes, I said some :)), having a roof over our heads, and many, many other things. What are you thankful for?
I know you should be thankful for things year round, and I am but Thanksgiving is a day that I can sit down and really think about what I am thankful for. And then be thankful for having that wonderful meal, that made me oh so full :)
Thanksgiving was pretty much the typical holiday dinner at the Lentz's...Parents argued (my mom told my dad to stop or we would leave...He did, so we stayed :)), mom was "sick" so I once again made the majority of the meal...Oh well...It turned out wonderfully!!
Today we had Scott's mom and Andy come over for dinner...We all had a good time...
But anyways onto the next part of this post....CHRISTMAS IS GETTING REALLY CLOSE!!!!! Like I said before I am way too excited for Christmas this year than I have been any other year...My Christmas cards are done and ready to be sent out...My Christmas decorations are up, tree and everything (they have been up for 2 weeks :) ) I'm almost done buying Scott's gifts and what I have, I have already wrapped and put under the tree!! :) I have done all of Scott's Christmas gift shopping online this year...So much easier than going to the stores and have to deal with people that don't care that there are other people in the store with them...Now I'm just waiting for snow...The amount we got last night was nothing!!! It didn't even get me excited!!
I was not a part in the whole crazy black Friday shopping...I thought about it, picked out what we were going to get and said the hell with it...I'm not losing sleep over a set of pans...So while all the other weirdos where out there shopping away or standing outside freezing, I was snuggled up in my warm bed :) ha ha
My works Christmas party is December 4Th...Scott and I are going to it and get to stay in a hotel...My work parties have been really fun the last couple of years and I hope that this one is just as fun :) After that we are heading over to Grand Rapids to maybe do a little shopping...And of course we get to stay at the Hyatt Place!!! L-O-V-E that hotel!!!
I then will have another Christmas party at work. This one is at the place that I work and it involves the residents and the staff...I also look forward to this one...Seeing the residents faces light up when they get to be a part of a party!!! They just love it! And I love that they get to do something fun for Christmas...
Then soon enough it will be Christmas time...
Since this is an all in one post I will post about Scott...
He hasn't found a job yet :( But he did get back on unemployment!! :) Which is really good...We did just fine when he wasn't getting it for a little bit there, but we also were living off of out student loan checks...
And that brings me to my next section...SCHOOL
Scott is almost done and he is doing fantastic this semester...As always...He's my nerd and never does bad...I on the other hand...Am pretty close to failing Medical Terminology...I gave up on the class after about the second week...It's not hard work at all, but there is a lot of work involved!! A little too much, I would say...21 chapters for a 15 week class!!! It sucks and it's all about remembering everything you just read!! My brain can't hold all that :) Math I'm doing OK in...Since it's an online class I pretty much do things at my own pace and I'm kinda behind...I will get it all caught up pretty soon...Thanks to my math genius husband :)...
OH!!!! The most important thing!!!
WE GOT A CAR!!!!
It's a used one, but hey it's a car and it runs and now we don't have to use Scott's moms van...Which we were 110% grateful for her for letting us use it!! We greatly appreciate it!!!
It's a Saturn, Silver, and it runs OK...but at least it runs and gets us to where we need to go! :)
But I'm done writing for tonight...

Nothing much to say...
...but I felt like writing something anyways...
Nothing much has gone on in the last couple of months...
I am pretty much completely healed from having surgery...Let me tell you the couple of weeks after that was not fun at all...I cried for really no reason at times...I think it might have been the fact that I was in a lot of pain and I was taking some pretty strong pain killers and they were making me all emotional...Another sucky thing about having surgery, is that now I only have 3 vacation days left until MAY! I had to take a lot of vacation days to cover the days that I took off due to the surgery. This year hasn't been so good to us...First that car crash and the car being totalled and not having full coverage on it and then the surgery...Oh well, I'm looking to a WONDERFUL 2010!!!
We finally did take that trip down to see Scott's friend Kris...We went down the weekend of Halloween. On our way down there we got caught in a traffic jam due to some getting into a car accident on the highway, so we were pretty much stopped. While we were stopped we heard this HORRIBLE noise coming from the van. We found an exit and pulled over in Grand Rapids. Scott looked under the hood and thought it was the A/C compressor...We found a Tuffy's and pulled in there, and it was indeed the A/C compressor. We had to get it fixed...It was either $1200 to replace it or $156 to bypass it, so of course we did the bypass...Who can really afford $1200 right now? So about 45 minutes later, we were back on the road...We got to Lansing around 7pm. We headed out to dinner with Kris and Nikki. The next day we got up early and headed to the zoo after the zoo we headed to MSU campus and took some pictures. We then headed to iHop for some breakfast. We hung out for a little bit and then went and seen Paranormal Activity. Which wasn't a horrible movie, but I did laugh more than I got scared! After that we headed out to have dinner, at a really good italian place. We ended the night with a haunted hayride! I have never done one of these before. It wasn't scary at all. Random people jumping out at you, but before they jumped out at you, you could kinda see them in the woods so you knew it was coming. It was a wonderful (very late Katie's birthday) trip...
Scott is still the househusband...There isn't crap out there, he keeps looking and no one is really hiring...He will be getting unemployment again...SOON...So that is a good thing.
I'm still at the same job and I am still loving it! They have their annual administrative holiday party coming up! I have been to 2 of them and they are sooo much fun! We get to get away for a night and have a good dinner and a good time.
My dad just found out last week that they are closing Embassador steel and he will not have a job in about a week...After he is done there I will officialy be the only one that has a job! My sister, mom, dad, and Scott will all be unemployed! The job market it not getting any better, no matter what anyone says, it's either the same or it's getting worse. It pretty much sucks...
And of course, what would a couple months be without a little bit of family drama!!?? It wouldn't really be my life, now would it...Of course I'm not going to get into it. But it's getting better...
The Holiday season is approaching and for some reason I am more excited about it than I have ever been...I'm not sure why I am?? I have been ready to decorate for Christmas since November 1st when I took down my Halloween decorations! :) I'm trying to wait until after Thanksgiving, but I don't think that, that is going to happen. I will probably decorate this weekend.
So when I'm bored at home, I read random people's blogs...I don't know these people, but I do enjoy reading their blogs...I'm not a stalker!!! I found on some persons blog that you can get you whole entire blog made into a BOOK! So I thought...I am SOOO doing that...So that is mainly why I'm writing on here right now...So I can have more to print into this book...I will have the book made up after this year...My blog has more than one year in it, but I want to make another book for next year...That is if I write on here enough...And of course, before I have it made up and printed, Scott is going to go through the whole blog and fix the spelling and puncuation errors :)
So plan on hearing from me next month also...Next blog with be all about the holidays and what we did...
